Dr. Anan Shendy
Assistant Manager, Product Implementation (Learning & Performance) Afreximbank
Dr. Shendy has over 15 years of experience in human resources, organizational development, and corporate communication. She designs learning programs that promote intra-African trade and economic integration. A certified corporate trainer and mentor, she specializes in leadership, performance management, instructional design, and intercultural communication. She is also a fellow lecturer and researcher in political communication.
Mr. Chidi Ileka
Senior Advisor, Intra African Trade Bank (IATB) Afreximbank
Mr. Chidi Ileka, Nigerian national, joined Afreximbank as Senior Advisor, AfCFTA Secretariat, effective 16 June 2025. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Lagos Business School, a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Nigeria, and a Diploma in International Trade & Finance from the IFS School of Finance, London. He has over 28 years of experience managing corporate and institutional banking relationships, trade finance, and investment operations. Before joining Afreximbank, he served as Regional Business Executive at Union Bank of Nigeria with responsibility for 84 branches in 11 states. Prior to that, he held senior roles at Ecobank Nigeria and Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria in trade and banking.
Ambassador. Dr. Mohamed Kadah
Assistant Secretary General (Programmes), COMESA and Part Time Instructor, Onsi Sawiris School of Business, The American University in Cairo
Dr. Kadah is a diplomat with 25 years of experience, including serving as Egypt’s Ambassador to South Sudan and Deputy Chief of Mission in multiple countries. He holds a PhD in international relations, two master’s degrees, and extensive training in diplomacy, leadership, and international relations. His expertise includes African development, economic cooperation, and multilingual communication.
Mr. Egheosa Onaiwu

Mr. Onaiwu is a management consultant with over 15 years of professional experience, having worked with KPMG and Dalberg Advisors. Throughout his career, he has led and delivered high-value projects in strategy development, operational excellence, and organizational transformation across multiple industries and markets in Africa. His experience spans several industries including consumer markets, financial services, agribusiness, and healthcare, where he has worked closely with operators, regulators, multilateral organizations and industry associations. Egheosa has a proven track record of helping clients achieve their strategic objectives by driving large-scale transformation initiatives, developing corporate and business strategies, and facilitating the successful implementation of strategic plans. His expertise also includes organizational review, design, and transformation, enabling businesses to enhance efficiency, improve governance structures, and adapt to evolving market conditions.
Mr. Simeon Balogun
Manager, Trade Intelligence Solutions, Afreximbank
Mr. Balogun is a strategy and financial analyst with vast experience in corporate and business strategy formulation and implementation across the top tier financial institutions in Nigeria. He has worked on several strategy related projects with leading global Management Consulting firms such as Mckinsey, Accenture, KPMG, Ernst & Young and Innosight Consulting. He has extensive skills and experience in Business Strategy Formulation, Financial Modelling, Financial Statement Analysis, Business Valuation, Market Research, Process Optimization and Review, Project Management (Agile and Waterfall), Industry Research, Data Analysis and Investor relations. He holds an MBA and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. He also holds several international professional qualifications in accounting and management consulting.
