MAGO MOTORS LTD is a core company of the MAGO Group (Main office in Japan), dedicated to improve a slum area called Agbogbloshie in Accra, Ghana through innovation in mobility and recycling.
Main Activities
- Electric Vehicle (EV) Solutions
Import, assembly, and leasing of electric minibuses which are developed by Japanese engineers.
Development of battery-swapping infrastructure.
Pilot operations with universities and institutions to promote eco-friendly public transport.
- Recycling & Circular Economy Projects
In partnership with Ghana’s Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MESTI).
Supported by international institutions such as KfW and GIZ.
Plastic waste treatment, e-waste collection, and introduction of carbonization equipment.
- Agriculture
Harvesting moringa and coffee over 11acres of land in Ghana. Product is processed in Japan as tea and some other food. Contributing to the sustainable environment and creating direct market access and fair pricing systems to increase farmer income.
- Community & Employment Development
Creating local jobs in assembly, operations, and recycling.
Providing training programs to enhance technical capacity in Ghana.
